The unincorporated community of Fort Morgan, sits on a peninsula to the west of Gulf Shores, and dates to the 1800s. The tranquil community offers beach and bay access to its residents and visitors, with large resorts like The Beach Club and Gulf Shores Plantation as well as fishing cottages and private homes.

While there are no municipal facilities, there’s plenty to do with the Historic Fort Morgan Site that attracts visitors each year, and the Mobile Bay Ferry that operates from the Fort Morgan Landing site. Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is home to a myriad of trails and public beaches. Other entities include Kiva Dunes Golf and Resort, Fort Morgan Marina and the Pines Park Public Boat Launch.
